The Potatoes New Zealand Charitable Trust Potato Business School Scholarship provides an opportunity for a person working in the New Zealand potato industry to attend the internationally recognised Potato Business School in Emmeloord, the Netherlands.
The scholarship supports professional development, leadership growth and the practical application of new knowledge within the New Zealand potato industry. The successful applicant will be expected to apply their learning within their workplace or business and share relevant knowledge and insights with the wider industry upon their return.

Potato Business School Emmeloord offers practical professional development in:

Applicants should demonstrate how developing knowledge in these areas will strengthen their contribution to the New Zealand potato industry.
Scholarship Value
The Potatoes New Zealand Charitable Trust Business School Scholarship provides funding of up to $8,000 to assist with Course fees, Travel and Accommodation. Funding is for future professional development only and cannot be applied retrospectively.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be aged 18 years or older.
- Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
- Be currently living and working in New Zealand.
- Have a minimum of one year of involvement in the potato industry.
- Be directly involved in the potato industry.
- Be available to attend the Potato Business School Emmeloord programme in the Netherlands.
- Submit a completed application by the closing date.
Selection Criteria
Applicants will be assessed on:
- Industry commitment and future contribution
- Learning goals and practical application
- Potential benefit to the wider potato industry
- Leadership, initiative and problem-solving capability
- Financial need and the value of the scholarship investment
Successful Applicant Requirements
The successful applicant will be required to:
- Attend the approved Potato Business School programme.
- Provide a written report following completion of the programme.
- Supply photos and/or video content from the programme.
- Share key learnings and outcomes with the New Zealand potato industry.
- Allow Potatoes New Zealand Charitable Trust to share their story and outcomes for promotional purposes.
