Potatoes New Zealand activities
The portion of levy identified for Potatoes New Zealand is used to fund Potatoes New Zealand Committee meetings, annual conference costs including those of the growers attending Conference, a share of the Commercial Grower magazine postage and its annual operating costs, newsletters to growers, communications with media, government agencies, growers, others within the industry, this website and a share of the relevant staff salaries and office overheads within Horticulture New Zealand.

Potatoes New Zealand Purpose
Potatoes New Zealand's purpose is to provide leadership in three key areas.
1 Collaboration
- Enhancement of collaboration between growers via benchmarking, education and international collaborations.
- Understanding of international supply chains.
2 Profile
- Development of more robust industry statistics.
- Enabling knowledge transfer.
- Development of an industry communications plan.
3 Sustainability
- Building a closer relationship with the HortNZ RMA portfolio.
- Giving feedback to R&D Group on priorities.
- Regularly reporting to R&I Board on environmental issues of relevance.
- Enabling knowledge transfer.
