Second weekly update on psyllid traps
Status as at 3/12/2010: Data has been received from Mid Canterbury, Manawatu and Hawkes Bay this week. We expect to have data from the remaining sites within the next week or so. Tomato potato psyllids were detected again at one site at Lincoln and one site at Southbridge. Two new Mid Canterbury sites had no TPP. No TPP detected at the Manawatu site this week. Numbers of other psyllids detected are increasing in Hawkes Bay and Canterbury.
See most recent data tables and graphs.
Each week Potatoes New Zealand reports on the number of tomato potato psyllids (TPP) and other species of psyllids in the psyllid traps to help growers monitor and control for the potato tomato psyllid. Traps are localed in Pukekohe, Waikato, Hawkes Bay, Manawatu, North Canterbury, Mid Canterbury and South Canterbury. Numbers of tomato potato psyllids (TPP) and other species of psyllids are reported.
