Last weekly update on psyllid traps for 2010
Status as at 31/12/2010: Several new sites have been added to the monitoring programme in Pukekohe, Hawkes Bay, North Canterbury and South Canterbury. Graphs have been updated for TPP numbers, but not for “other psyllids”. The other psyllids graphs will be updated in early January. Meanwhile the data can be accessed in the data tables file. TPP numbers remain high in Pukekohe and Hawkes Bay. Note that in Pukekohe a new trapping site has reduced the average numbers trapped, indicating a large variation between sites. TPP numbers are lower in Manawatu, but continue to increase.

Each week Potatoes New Zealand reports on the number of tomato potato psyllids (TPP) and other species of psyllids in the psyllid traps to help growers monitor and control for the potato tomato psyllid. Traps are localed in Pukekohe, Waikato, Hawkes Bay, Manawatu, North Canterbury, Mid Canterbury and South Canterbury. Numbers of tomato potato psyllids (TPP) and other species of psyllids are reported.
