Fourteenth weekly update on psyllid traps for 2011
TPP numbers are continuing to decline in most areas and most crops have now been sprayed off. Numbers in Manawatu, mid-Canterbury and south-Canterbury are all showing a bit of a tail with reasonably high numbers. This may be due to neighbouring crops being desiccated and adults taking flight.
See most recent data tables and graphs.
Each week Potatoes New Zealand reports on the number of tomato potato psyllids (TPP) and other species of psyllids in the psyllid traps to help growers monitor and control for the potato tomato psyllid. Traps are localed in Pukekohe, Waikato, Hawkes Bay, Manawatu, North Canterbury, Mid Canterbury and South Canterbury. Numbers of tomato potato psyllids (TPP) and other species of psyllids are reported.
